Chinese smartphone giant Xiaomi is all set to launch its highly anticipated flagship model, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra. The company has announced that it will host an event on April 18 to unveil the new phone, which will be launched in China and global markets. Xiaomi has already confirmed that the new model will feature new Leica lenses, which is generating significant buzz among tech enthusiasts.
The official teaser released by the company shows the Xiaomi 13 Ultra with a large camera module featuring four sensors and Leica Vario-Summicron branding. The camera is expected to come with a 1-inch 50MP Sony IMX989 sensor with f/1.8 aperture, paired with a 50MP ultra-wide lens and a 50MP telephoto camera. The front camera is expected to have a 32MP lens.
The upcoming Xiaomi 13 Ultra is rumored to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, with a 6.7-inch QHD+ LPTO E6 AMOLED panel from Samsung, featuring a refresh rate of 120Hz. The smartphone may also come with IP68 certification, up to 16GB of RAM, and up to 512GB UFS 4.0 internal storage capacity. The phone may run on MIUI 14 based on the Android 13 operating system, with a 4,900mAh battery and 90-watt wired charging speed, along with wireless charging support for 50-watt.

While Xiaomi has not yet revealed whether or not the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will be launched in India, the company recently launched the Xiaomi 13 Pro in the country, so Indian consumers may have to wait for the new model. However, the smartphone will be available in China initially, with a global launch expected in the coming months.
