WhatsApp announced the rollout of their new feature about a week back and it has continued to roll it out for users across the globe.

However, other messaging platforms like Telegram, Hike Messenger and WeChat already have sticker packs. Following the footsteps of these platforms, WhatsApp has finally introduced stickers on the platform with 12 packs to choose from.

The feature adds the ability to share ‘stickers’ with your friends and family and they can be made of images, sketches, or even graphics. The user can also download third-party sticker apps on Android from Google Play Store. The best thing about them is that you don’t need to open an app separately on your phone, just add to your WhatsApp and you can easily use them in your conversations.

Since there is plenty number of WhatsApp sticker apps and it could be confusing to choose the right one, here’s a list of such third-party sticker apps you can choose to download from. With the ongoing success of the stickers feature of WhatsApp, the Facebook-owned company now is said to bring a whole new feature, that’ll help to find the stickers way easy and to share relevant stickers with your contacts. The feature is said to currently be in the pipeline for Android devices. However, it could also head to the WhatsApp for iPhone version over time.

The news was reported by WABetaInfo they also provided a couple of screenshots to show how the search feature will be available on the app. This is likely to be similar to the functionality that is already available to search for different emoji characters and GIFs.

Final announcement regarding the rolling out of this new feature has not been made yet. However, it is expected to require the latest WhatsApp version to enable the new experience. The feature could also reach iPhone users soon after its debut on Android. Meanwhile, keep your WhatsApp app updated.

The search feature is understandably important to enhance the usage of stickers on WhatsApp. The instant messaging app brought stickers to its Android app last month, followed by a server-side rollout for iPhone users. By default, there are 12 sticker packs provided by WhatsApp, though Android users also have the option to download third-party sticker packs with the help of the Google play store. Users can also access stickers directly from the Whatsapp Web.
