This Postpaid Plan By Vodafone Now Offers 30GB Data, Unlimited Calls And Much More
Various telcos are coming up with more exciting plans in a bid to counter Reliance Jio’s immense popularity.
Now, Vodafone has revamped its plan to attract more customers to its network. Vodafone is giving customers switching to its postpaid network 30GB data – instead of 20GB – with its Rs.399 plan. There is an increase of 50% in data in the newly-revamped plan.
The revamped Rs.399 prepaid plan also offers users other benefits like 100 SMSes, and 30GB 3G/ 4G monthly data (with rollover option up to 200GB).
However, the plan is open to selected customers. Only customers switching from the company’s prepaid to postpaid network, or moving another network to Vodafone will be eligible for the offer.
The unlimited local and STD call under the new plan, called the Vodafone RED Plan, is capped at 250 minutes a day. and 1,000 minutes per week.
The plan also includes Vodafone RED Shield that is a device insurance offering which is claimed to protect your smartphone from damage and theft.
This isn’t all. There is also free access to movies worth Rs.4,000 via Vodafone Play service for 1 year and bundled Magzter subscription to provide a vast collection of over 3,500 e-magazines for 4 months with the Rs.399 plan.
To activate the plan, customers need to dial 199 from their Vodafone number. After six billing cycles, the customer will be charged Rs.499, up from Rs.399.
The official website of Vodafone has not updated the current offer. The Rs.399 plan is also not available in states like Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand, Jammu and Kashmir, and Himachal Pradesh.
The Vodafone RED Plan is one of the many plans that the company has launched to counter what Jio has in store for its customers.
In last November, Vodafone launched the RED Basic plan for its postpaid subscribers at Rs. 399 with primary benefits, including unlimited local and STD calls, free incoming on national roaming, 10GB data, and data roll over.
With the new plan, Vodafone is now at par with the competition. Reliance Jio offers 30GB of 4G data capped at 1GB per day for Rs 309 while the Rs 409 plan gives an uncapped 20GB of 4G data to Jio users. Airtel offers 20GB of data for 30 days with its Rs 399 myInfinity postpaid plan.
