RRB Recruitment 2018: 2652 Trade Apprentice Posts Available At Southern Railway, Apply Now
If you are interested in working for the Indian Railway, then here is the latest vacancy that has been announced.
The Southern Railway is one of the 17 zones of Indian Railways and has its headquarters in Chennai. It is one of the earliest of the 17 zones of the Indian Railways created in independent India.
The South Indian Railway was originally created while we were under the hands of Britishers as Great Southern India Railway Co-founded in Britain in 1853 and was actually registered in the year 1859. Its original headquarters was in Tiruchirappalli and was registered as a company in London only in 1890.
Online applications have been invited by The southern railways for inviting eligible candidates to apply for the position of trade apprentice. Those who wish to apply can download the application from the official website sr.indianrailways.gov.in. The last date for receiving completed application along with relevant enclosures is April 4.
There are total 2652 vacancies available for now. Interested applicants can apply for the posts of Fitter, Machinist, Turner, Welder (Gas and Electric), Advance welder, Electrician, Electronics Mechanics, Painter, Carpenter, Diesel Mechanic, Plumber, Wireman, Refrigeration & AC Mechanic, Electronics/information technology, Instrument Mechanic, Draughtsman (Civil), Fresher MTL (Radiology), Fresher MTL (Pathology) and Fresher (Fitter).
-For the post of Fitter, Machinist, Turner, Mechanic (diesel/instrument) and Advance Welder Aspirants need to clear their 10th class from a recognized university and should possess national trade certificate in the notified trade issued by NCVT.
-For the post of a carpenter, painter, welder (gas and electric), Wireman, aspirants need to pass class 8 examination with science as one of the subjects or its equivalent. They should also possess national trade certificate in the notified trade issued by NCVT.
-Aspirants applying for the post of Plumber/Electrician should have passed class 10 examination or its equivalent with science as one of the subjects. They should also possess national trade certificate in the notified trade issued by NCVT.
-Aspirants of Electronics Mechanics should have passed class 10 examination or its equivalent with science as one of the subjects and mathematics or its equivalent. They should also possess national trade certificate in the notified trade issued by NCVT.
The age of the candidates should be of maximum 24 years (Ex.ITI) and 22 years or minimum 15 years if the applicant is a fresher. The upper age is relaxed by three years for OBC candidates, five years for SC/ST candidates and 10 years for persons with disability (PWD) candidates.
